Thanks for the update bro as I always liked this bar and always went there on my trips. Bar manager is nice guy and I always gave him my biz. Too bad my other fav. bar (Bare Assets) is still closed:(

AC is so messy now..... on hindsight I am glad that my trip this week was cancelled. :)

Latest I heard about him is he has skipped the country for a "vacation" overseas.

Brief update on my latest visit to AC...... I passed through AC on my way to Naga and observed the following.:-

a) Fields ave is deserted even during peak hours.
b) Only one doorgirl from each bar on the street and these DGs are dressed conservatively.... no more hot pants or sleeveless tops.
c) The vendors / beggars / trikees easily outnumber tourists 10 to 1..... so it is a nuisance as they harass the few tourists who are there.
d) No more barfines in the bars..... even though the managers & mamasans know me very well..... I was told they are scared that their girls complain against them as now many of the bargirls have become the "eyes & ears" of the authorities..... they are rewarded for informing on illegal happenings in the bars and get immunity from raids.
e) LDs are now 550p in most bars and some have imposed condition that the girl must finish her drink within 5 mins and return to the stage..... want her to sit with you longer? Buy her x 3 LDs then she dun have to return to the stage.
f) Some bars try to get around the problem of barfines by allowing the BG to leave when she has fulfilled her quota of 12 LDs...... but bear in mind she is not obliged to go with you..... only that she is released from work.... so if she wants to go home or go to meet her pinoy boyfriend there is nothing you can do to stop her.
g) The surprise was the general feeling from the other Filipinos outside of Fields ave / Perimeter whom I talked with..... they seem very glad that the immoral activities in AC is being cleaned up..... one lady on my bus journey to Naga said she is embarrassed to tell people she lives in AC as the 1st impression the other party will have of her is that she is a prostitute....... even though she is a graduate and works in a bank.

It looks like AC is on her last days.......

so bad meh.

to me, the poor will always still have to sell themselves. u think those bar girls can just survive on LD commissions alone ? logically, there is only going to b one conclusion.

the freelancer pool will just get larger n larger which means the 2 new hottest spots in AC in time to come should theoretically b Skytrax and High Society.

I believe this is also the feelings of other pinays from other parts of the country.
Some time ago I had to go to TTSH for my checkup and the nurse taking my bloodtest was a friendly and talkative pinay. While TCSS with her she found out I was visitor to the PI and asked me about my trip there..... when I told her I only went to AC her attitude immediately changed and sarcastically remarked to her colleague whether want to add HIV test to my blood testing....... lol.

I think under the new system the gals dun get any commission from the LDs. Their incentive is to collect 12 drinks receipts and then they can go do whatever they want. This is becoming like the LOS system where you negotiate the LT/ST directly with the gal and the bars dun get involved.... except that the gals need to fulfill their quota to get off work.

hiya all, this is huckau. I'm from sydney and had spend the past few years living in the phils. I'm back in ozzieland now. Just can't take the shit in AC no more. Hope you guys won't mind me parking myself here to pick up some news about the phils since I'm no longer there.

Since we already have legal Malaysians, Thais & PRCs WL.... why not Pinays?
