Imo MLs be it AP or not, receiving gifts and treats and $$$ is pretty common.

What really sets the good (and forward thinking) MLs apart from those not so good (and short sighted planning) MLs is whether the MLs continue to deliver services consistently to any customers that book them.

Unfortunately lately the trend is:

1. Unproven newbies charging $120
2. FL masquerade as ML charging $150 to $200
3. MLs whom don't even have excellent service to begin with, upping the price.

End of the day, there will still be enough supporters who don't mind all 3 categories above, hence these days MLs are not only charging higher but doing LESSER. The situation will only get worse. Very soon $120 will be the norm. Just like GST hike.
