if you want upper class pub, visit Atlantis at the end of Fields Ave. Ask for the couch upstairs, change some pesos (2k should do), and start tying them to free balloons... u will have a great time... trust me! :p

I actually stayed in that room once...had a nice victorian styled bed with mirrors, and quite liked the room as it was on the ground floor and no need to climb the stairs.. :D

Didn't have any issues..probably because i was drunk most of the time.. anyway, i won't be staying there any time soon...:p

Cleaning up AC in anticipation of Subic being US Navy port of call seems plausible now. Business should move up another level when it materialised. I wonder if certain local people are taking the opportunity to clear foreigners of their businesses at cheap cheap prices.

I think the rumors about that room is about poltergeist in action..... guests and bargirls staying in the room have reported seeing things move by themselves.

No wonder bar girl always ask where we stay...if say Swiss Chalet. they won't stay overnight but compliment food is good though :D

Dear bros, tonight is my last night in AC, as I'm due to check out & fly back in a few hours time. Consider this a live reporting from fields.

1. Despite the rainy season, there is visibly less people on the street, but business as usual for literally every joint visible on walking street/ fields ave.

2. The scantily clad greeters r still visible in clusters, except only 1 gal does the greeting/ touting while the rest of the pack just sit pretty. Some joints actually save the trouble of having greeters, probably bcos they've already a steady stream of RTF clientele.

3. From what I've seen/heard, zero enforcement activities ongoing, no raids, no closure of any joint.

4. Despite the wet weather, the gals continue to trickle in n report for duty, even as the time passes 8 or 9pm.

5. The kimchis, nippons, Yankees, euro players r all having a ball of a time, simply bcos they r spoilt for choices.

I guess my optimism hasn't disappointed me,. I got myself a SYT, took her out for 3 days straight. Best part is, she doubled up as my personal tour guide (& translator), took me around for more sites & sounds.

For this trip, I'm actually putting up at swiss chalet. The only haunting that disturbs me is the inconsiderate noisy guests bellowing in the hallway every night, when they return drunk.

In summary, what appears to me is a stark contrast to what some bros have been reporting not too long ago.

Since its your last night why not try the room...... ask for room #1 on ground level and get to enjoy the "supernatural" experience..... not everyone has the opportunity. :D

The arrival of the US Forces will not make a big difference as they made the Americans agree to certain conditions before allowing them to come back. They do not want to turn the clock back and make Subic into a sexual playground for the servicemen again.

Some f the restrictions imposed on the visiting forces are -
a) All servicemen are to stay on board ships..... not allowed to check into hotels for overnight stay;
b) The servicemen are only allowed to visit designated areas in daylight hours and they MUST be in uniform;
c) Barrio Baretta is off limits.... I understand they can only go to the beach bars on Baloy beach area up to Blue Rock resort;
d) They can only carry a limited amount of money when going on shore and have to declare the amount;
e) All personnel MUST be back on board ships by nightfall.

With these kind of restrictions.... how to enjoy?

haha...no explanations needed. Just walk in, request for couches upstairs, once u settled down, get the waitress to change 2k in 20peso notes, tell them u want balloons, and they will show you the way!

basically, is tying the notes onto balloons which u can then float to the girls below. :p

and...if u get bored, just throw the notes into the air and watch the action! :D
