In the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, some of my friends and business associates were willing to donate and do something for the victims. my gf tell me that the government are asking the peoples to pay taxes and they even swap the oversea relief supplies to their local supplies..

And the western union in singapore are waving off the charges for remittance but the wu in ph still absorbing the charges for money pick up..

Robin? The owner of Rapids Pub in Tg Pagar? I think it's a setup as I've heard he had some problems with his pinay gf and her money grabbing relatives.

don't think its fair saying all Pinoys are cheats. Most politicians , especially in the under developed countries are the real crooks. If you were to bring the donations of canned foods , bottle water etc direct to the streets , I am sure the affected people will be so greatful. Same same all over the world.

True but it is also true that once you are a foreigner, the average pinoy will think you are rich and will try to take advantage of you. Well not all but quite a few. Btw, I am pinoy. Haha.

That is why I feel ashamed when I read what is being said of us but unfortunately, it is so true. My only consolation is that I never liked the Yellows and had never voted for any of them, but I am in the minority.
