I don’t know whether race itself is a status symbol, bro. I think professional status, education and presentation are far more important. I seriously doubt that my status would be enhanced if I picked up some semi educated woman with no background just because she was Chinese! And I can tell you that I add considerably to the status of anyone I date ... Of course, with 76% of the population of Singapore being of Chinese origin, it’s hardly surprising that my girlfriends have been Chinese. Strangely enough, I have just started meeting a Malay Singaporean..... but that’s another story 😜.

It’s very amusing to see such comments. Every race likes to think it’s superior. In reality, the perception varies from continent to continent, and country to country. Chinese in SG think they are very special, but in Europe Chinese are regarded as very downmarket. Did you see the recent news about the UK minister who called his Chinese wife as Japanese ? You commented about black men wanting white women - but do you know that the hottest thing in France now is to have a black girlfriend ? Anyway most of such thoughts and comments come from jealaousy. Grow up brothers. Nobody owns anyone else. People make their own choices. If your women are going off with men from other cultures, maybe those guys have more to offer.

You’re welcome to your perceptions. It’s your life. While these thoughts may be true for you and some of your friends, I can tell you that there are enough girls in SG who are very open and welcoming. Simple arithmetic - probably 1.5 million chinese ethnicity women in Singapore. Of that maybe 1/4 in my target age bracket - 375,000. How many do I need to meet as an individual ? 😂 There are more than enough to go around.

Please also understand that I have no interest in meeting just any girl. I’m only looking to meet those who are highly educated, sophisticated and well travelled. In my experience, such women go beyond racial stereotypes, and look at the attributes of the individual they meet. Once that happens, I’m home and dry 😬.
