Re: NEW ANGELES CITY (Pampanga, Balibago, Subic and anywhere else in PI)
Today is my second day in AC. Last night I put up in a shitty hotel called Emerigos, owned by a Malaysian. It costs PHP 1500 per night nett, with dead internet connection. I scouted around the area and found thsi jewel of a hotel called Grace Crown Hotel. Published rate is PHP 2400 with a 20% discount. I negotiated further and finally got it for PHP 1700 with breakfast included. I just checked in. That's a steal man! Rooms are clean and look new and the internet connection is super and located withing a stone's throw away from Walking Street. Check their website for details: gracecrownhotel dot com.
I'll be here until 22nd March, 2015. Cheers. Mabhuhay!!! |

Once you let Filipinos manage, then things go Filipino style- everything will have to hurry up and wait and wait !!! Quote:
I can arrange a special taxi, only 12,000 :p No, just kidding. As long as you are not arriving midnight hour, and is a bit street smart, you can hop a airport meter taxi to Philippine Rabbit @ Avenida or Victory Liner @ Pasay (my traveled routes) .. both run every hour or so, departing till 11.00 PM ! Bus fare about 300 or so peso. Once I took at taxi AC to Makati, paid 3,000 (6 or so years ago), though Margarita station may have more travel choices. Other frequent travellers here will have more experience than me, in using other options Not sure if the scheduled Fly-The-Bus of Swagman operates but if you arrive at wrong time, you will need to kill time in Manila before getting the bus. Anyway, a bit of search here will give you other options, like somebody's suggested VIP Escorted car, or Helicopter to ABC Hotel, or .. Special carabao ride :p If you afford it .. you can do this :p (though I understand ABC stopped the helicopter service, you can still let your imagination run wild !!!) http://harrythehorse.asia/hth/2009/f...helicopter.jpg |
Re: NEW ANGELES CITY (Pampanga, Balibago, Subic and anywhere else in PI)
Bro Etsys,
Thanks for your advice. That would be a wild imagination indeed. Hahahaha. I think i stick to Clark instead of Manila. At the moment flight tix and hotel checked, left the date to arrive. Cant wait to post my FR actually. Since this would be my first trip to AC, in future i might post few other questions, dear Bros, please bear with me. Cheers & Happy Hunting ! |
