if valid reason then i believe its ok but of everytime father want to see the child and the ex wofe disallow giving bullshit reason the court may amend the visitation rights.

i used to be in that situation. care and control to the ex wife but joint custody.meaning anything abput education and health both parents must discuss. ex wife canmot make decision alone. up to the extend i email my son school to tell dem i want to be involve for ptc and all.i showed the cpurt order.

initially the ex thought she can makan me but when she saw that i go all out on this she don dare. anything we both will discuss.and ot has been many years since and we have had a peaceful discussion about our kids

During my time, the judge chide me off for asking for join custody, she said everyone thought join custody is easy but in reality it always ends up in dispute between both parties as most ex-spouse will generally tend to try and up each other by choosing a different option, end up more fights and disputes ending up in court to decide...so bo bian i lang lang withdraw hoping this is the best outcome for my daughter...moreover i know her mom will always decide what is best for her..i know myself best i don't think i will make a good father..

like me, I prefer not to make a big deal because dont want my kids to become a victim of their parents fighting. the important thing is that I can still meet them lah ...

Hi bros. Storytelling time. Hope to get some advice.

F: 30yo, Thai
M: 32yo, Singaporean
- Married for 5 years, son is 2 years old. Singaporean.
- Marriage registered in SG but not in Thailand.
- Grounds of divorce, adultery.

HDB: F’s name is occupier and not owner. House downpayment is paid by CPF by M fully and monthly payments deducted by M’s account. Would F be able to claim HDB?

Thai condo: Bought a condo and it’s in F’s name cos easier to get loan from Thai banks. As the marriage is not registered in Thailand, any hopes of M getting the condo? Even if SG court award condo to M, how to enforce this through Thai court? Anyone has experience?

Expensive gifts: M bought a lot of expensive bags and jewellery after marriage. Can claim back from F? Amounts to about $200k over the years.

Company: F holds some company shares in Thailand. If it’s uncontested divorce and F agrees to give 10% of the company shares to M, how to enact this? Can a Singaporean own shares in the company?

Child: If sole custody is given to F, with no access to child. Does M still need to give child maintenance? What happens if M doesn’t give? Will SG court enforce payment to be sent to Thailand?

Those with thai wife, can share your experience with divorce? Anyone has a good lawyer to recommend in Thailand (Bangkok or Chiang Mai is ok) and Singapore?

Marriage registered in SIngapore's ROM is recognised in Thailand. No need to re-register there again..... just produce your ROM certificate can oredi. Can oso commence divorce proceedings in Thailand but you will be at a disadvantage.... coz they oso have their version of the WC.

Thai legal system emphasis is not so much on the applied laws and legal aspects of the case...... but rather on whose pockets are deeper. Black can turn into white if you have the money to throw.
