Hong Kong’s SCMP reported today (10 May) that among the top 100 “most wanted” corrupt PRC officials who have fled China, the number 2 fugitive on the list, Li Huabo, has been repatriated to China [Link]. He was flown back to Beijing on an Air China flight yesterday (9 May) following his release from jail in Singapore.

Beijing released a list of 100 most wanted corrupt PRC fugitives last month (22 Apr), as part of its “Sky Net” global anti-graft operation. It wants to extradite the fugitives to China to face trial (‘6 of 100 most wanted PRC fugitives in Singapore‘).

Among the 100, 6 are said to be in Singapore or using Singapore as one of their residences:

Li Huabo, a Jiangxi official – arrest warrant issued in 2011
Liu Changming, party boss of Bank of Communications Guangzhou branch – arrest warrant issued in 2009
Shi Yang, Liaoning propaganda official – arrest warrant issued in 2014
Huang Shuimu, chairman of a property firm in Fujian’s Longyan city – arrest warrant issued in 2014
Han Jianpeng, legal representative of an investment firm in Hebei province – arrest warrant issued in 2014
Liang Jinwen, official in an auto firm in Guangdong’s Zhuhai city – arrest warrant issued in 1997
