all other cards, like Ziebart says, don't charge extra ...

and for ATM withdrawal, even local ATM cards get charged 200 peso per withdrawal if you use other bank ATM ... so as a foreigner 200 peso plus a 5$ charge, maybe cheaper and safer at times.
Thanks for the advise. Looks like I have to bring a combination of credit card and cash when I travel.
