FR for first trip to Balikpapan. Quite new airport and roads are clean compare to Jkt.
First night stay a jantra hotel booked thru Agoda.com; this should be one of the best hotel here but quite expensive, all in about sgd 100. Don't have time to walk around the mall beside. Night time had a suki (steam boat) type dinner with friend, then went to a pub apposite the hotel. There have Lind band (not bad) and restaurant at ground floor, and billiard tables on 2nd floor. Did not see any freelancer around, most ladies were with group of friends.
