Re: So Shiok Ah!
”Me: “Mind your manners.”
All ah bengs: “什么! 什么! 你说我们没礼貌吗? 要我们給你看颜色吗?!”
The rest of the dance floor was dancing away from us, but keeping within viewing range. Typical Singaporeans, I guess.
I just looked at them, not knowing what to say. For everything I say, they would retort unreasonably. And I couldn’t fight them too, due to the numbers disadvantage. But at this moment, some familiar faces popped out from behind me. The new guy friends I just made – Judy‘s and Alexis‘ friends. They are all from the water sports, so they generally have better build than me.
Friend 1: “What happened?”
Me: “They took advantage of Ju and Alex.
At this moment, another friend dashed forward and wanted to punch the ah bengs, but was held back by Alexis and Judy.
This ruckus, was eventually settled when the bouncers came. Shortly after, a gentleman dressed in suits came along. I guess was the manager, or the in-charge. He recognized Alexis and so he stood on our side. He ousted the ah bengs out of the clubs, and escorted us, 7 of us Back to our corner, and treated us 3 bottles of don’t know what liquor as an apology.
As I was driving, I didn’t drink much and still, I clashed glasses with the new friends for being so supportive just now. Judy and Alexis were more shaken by the event though. After a while, they wanted to leave the club, and so I offered to drive them. Once again, the new friends, who were afraid that the ah bengs would ambush us outside the club, walked us back to the car, then they went off to another club. Club-hopping, I think is the right word to use here?
We took a bottle of the liquor and the guys took the other two. While in the car, I used my lameness to calm them down.
Judy: “Sorry, your virgin clubbing experience has to end this way.”
Alexis: “Your first time?! Don’t look like! You bluff one, right?”
Me: “Err… Really la…”
Alexis: “Really? Haha! ‘Cause you don’t look that nerd!”
Judy: “See! Told you! I was shocked when he told me he never clubbed before.”
Alexis: “So what do we do with this?”
Me: “You keep lo. Next time can drink. If we ever meet up again.”
Alexis: “Ok… But why must next time? Now cannot?”
Judy: “Can! 择日不如撞日! We go to my house and drink?”
Alexis: “Since when your Chinese so good? What does it mean?”
Judy: “It means… We can drink now la! You ok?” ~Looks at me.~
Me: “Ok ah. Your house there the multi storey car park got visitor lot right?”
Judy: “What are visitor lots?”
Me: “Errr… Those white color lots…”
Judy: “I don’t know leh. Does it matter? My Dad always park level 2.”
Me: “That one is season parking la! I need to buy parking coupons.”
Alexis: “Near my house there got 7-11.”
So we went there, as Alexis‘ house is near to Judy‘s.
And I bought more than just parking coupons.
