In theory, an STI can be transmitted during any of the following sex/ non-sexual acts:
- kissing
- oral-nipple stimulation
- oral sex, including giving head and rimming
intercourse, including anal and vaginal intercourse
- hand sex, including anal fingering, vaginal fingering, vulva stimulation, and hand jobs
- any play involving menstrual blood, blood from another part of the body, or lactation
- breastfeeding or chestfeeding
What we don't know or not studied is the odds of transmission/infection for each activity type. Other factors which as cut or open wound contribute to exposure/risk
