Hotels I would recommend you to stay in are Bangkok, Royal Amsterdam, Walkabout, Brass Knob and Tiger Hotel. These are about S$40-50 and NEAR.
If you need names of higher categories or lower categories, just ask here.
Personally I am staying in a S$22/nite hotel. Armed guard and only 4 rooms.
