There was a group of foreign tourists that were bar hopping in Fields ave.
When they came to the Eager Beaver bar one of them decided to buy a pack of cigarettes from the vendor nearby. The vendor gave the guy a pack of cigarettes + a box of viagra which the guy never wanted..... and asked for 1000p from the guy. The guy decide not to buy from this vendor and walks away to another vendor opposite the Phillys Sports bar when he heard someone calling out to him behind him. He turned around and saw the 1st vendor approaching him with a drawn knife in one hand hidden by the tray of cigarettes in the other hand. The guy reacted and disarmed the vendor but in the process dislocated the elbow of the vendor.

The cops came and brought back both parties to Station 4.
Despite the facts established through witness accounts that the vendor was the aggressor and had approached the tourist with a drawn knife demanding for money.... the cops ruled that the tourist must pay the vendor for his injuries sustained + admin fees incurred by the cops for procedures and investigations into the case.

It is always a no win situation for any foreigner to get into an altercation with a local. Dun be a hero here.

WTF!! That would have been classify as Armed Robbery in other civilised countries.
