If you still have feeling for her and you cannot confirm anything, then don't act too fast. Keep a look out and pretend you don't know. You shall see the story unfold one chapter at a time.
The more action you create, your target will get suspicious and it will be difficult for you to find out.
As you do not know which is which, therefore observe before you act so as not to hurt others and hurt yourself. You need to know what if it is true and what if it is false.
