There should be buses from Zhuhai airport to ZhongShan and it is the most economical and also quite comfortable really (I would say nearly similar to the bus ride to KL). last month I took a bus from the Zhuhai-Macau border to ZhongShan (stop in front of Internationak Hotel) at a cost of only Rmb22 per person. Took only about 1.5 hours.
Incidentally right in front of the International Hotel is where the street walkers come out at night......
This is also quite near to the Bar Street (Lan Kwai Fong of ZS). Taxi ride is no more than Rmb 7 or 8 or you could walk (should not take you more than 15 to 20 mins).
