1. The system is there for the fun of it. Points are worthless. They can't be redeemed for anything
2. exchange point as a game , exchange point to gain more rep power

You are only supposed to give reputation points for useful contributions to the forum (rule are not enforce nowadays) year 2006

When a reputation score of 100 is reached, reputation power becomes 9(1+8). (100 rep point + min of 10 post - to gain first power) ( if you had zero power , do not up others point )
after getting power , need to return point , 2 up per 24 hour (zero power up zero point , 1 power up 1 point , 20 power up 20 point)

Reputation System Questions:

Bottomline -
1) When a reputation score of 100 [wef 3 Jul 24] is reached, reputation power becomes 1.
So ask other Bros to up you and promise to up them back once you have power. Very, very important to observe this.

2) A min of 10 posts is required to gain your 1st rep power.

After that,
When you see a person's posting from the last 2 days, on the top right hand corner, you will see a weighing scale. Just click on the scale and, when a window opens, select approve and write any comments, eg "Hi, bro??? has just upped you with xx points"
That way, the recipient will know who upped him.

To find a person, click on search on the tool bar at the top and select advanced search.
Type in the name of the person you are searching for.
Then it will list all the recent posts by that person you were searching for.
