No registration needed, forever, because you will be in roaming.
If you are not familiar with travelling overseas, I recommend you to check first what are the rates of your mobile phone operator for call and data roaming in Indonesia! It can be cheap or extremely expensive (my operator charges outrageous fees).
In doubt, you should disable the data roaming and use only wifi (a portable mifi "soap" router is ideal to walk around emulating data roaming but keeping your Sing number).

I do not see why you should waste your precious time in Batam (you pay your travel for what? for spending time looking for a hotel or for relaxing?). Book in advance!

Is there anyone here who tried the new Formosa Residence?

1) On booking sites I find "Sleptopia Formosa Residence". Is it the only company at Formosa Residence? Or is there more than one in the same building?

2) Renting a small apartment sounds appealing to me. I wish the situation was still the same as years ago, when it was not uncommon to meet 2-3 girls in disco willing to party together. Now, things are not so good as before, it seems.
But what should I expect at Formosa Residence? Can I have daily room cleaning, change of bed sheets? If I need extra towels? Etc.
This makes me think that a hotel is still better.

If budget/money is not an issue for you, just get an expensive room in good hotel will be better.

1: I think sleeptopia is the only one, I may be wrong though, they all located at the same floor.

2: I book formosa residence because its cheaper than hotel, and I get a room with living room. I never ask for room cleaning or extra towel though so cant answer you. But all the time when I "check out" at 12p-1pm. There will be one old guy cleaning all other room in that particular floor, just give him the key. So I assume you may ask him for room cleaning and extra towel all those.

haha...remember hotels can easily clean up even at night when you knew another gal is coming in to accompany you suddenly...after one gal just left...

You got my point! Extra towels or bed sheet change whenever it is needed. Formosa was excellent about this. Unbeatable.

A rented apartment, however, has the advantage I could come with a group without question marks by the reception. Formosa was good also for this, but Four Points is too high level I feel.

Hi, i visited Formosa residence and Harbour Bay residence where my friends stayed before.

Yes, you can request for whatever you need, example extra towel etc. And bed sheets are changed daily.

My friends didn't get the room from sleptopia tho.

It is not what you are looking for, bro.

I assume you are looking at changing the bedsheet at any timing of the day in a short frame of time, example at 8pm, your girl just left and is expecting another new girl coming in soon,and you wish for sleptopia to make up the room within that frame of time before your new girl arrived.

Answer is, not possible.
(unless you are super regular and the housekeeper knew you well enough)

PS : i do not think residential room will allow change of bed sheet more than twice a day.

By the way, i just had 4 housekeeping person who comes to my room to make up my room 1 hour ago in my hotel room and they finished making up my room in less than 10 mins (to be exact, it is close to 8 mins). My room size is double then that of Formosa Hotel.
